Day 788 of posting a Daily Screenshot from the games I've been playing

Today’s game is Pokemon Platinum. I did the whole Distorted World quest. I have to say that this is by far one of my favorite areas in the game along with the northern snow region. I love how it makes use of the camera angles. It’s a lot more impressive I feel for a 3DS Game. On top of that I love the theme music for the place. There’s something super calming about it yet so eerie.

I also love how they setup Giratina’s entrance. Like. It’s still a children’s game, obviously. But I wasn’t expecting a full on jumpscare of Pokemon Satan lunging at the camera. It threw me off a little bit. I also love how it comes out of left field almost. Normally it’d be bad but here it gives off this effect that things have gone so so horribly wrong and now there’s this force that doesn’t belong here that’s loose. At least to me.

I returned to the overworld after catching Giratina, which I named Gigi, and went on to Sunnyshore. I didn’t start the gym because it was late but I love the city. I feel like it got dealt a bad hand in terms of pacing because it felt small to me last time I played. It’s wedged between 2 of the biggest parts of the game which is unfortunate. I’m really digging the Solar Panel flooring.

Tomorrow I’ll hopefully finish the Pokemon League and then I’ll try and finish the Pokédex. I’m close. Like Half of it is full so I should hopefully be close. I’ll have to see though. I also have to do the event Pokemon which could take a bit.
